Solos for Winter Concert
- For Good
- Madeleine Bergin (m. 5-18)
- Meera Brauer (m. 29-42)
- Kiera Billing (m. 52-61, singing “like a ship blown from its mooring by a wind off the sea on 60-61)
- Greta Buysse (m. 56-63, singing “like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood” on 62-63)
- Fly Away Home
- Abby Metzner (m. 9-12, m. 21-24 lower harmony, sing in treble range)
- Miriam McBride (m. 13-16, m. 21-24 lower or higher harmony)
- Claire Allen (m. 17-20 sing in treble range, and m. 21-24 sing higher harmony)
- All three soloists will sing together on m. 21-24
- Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe
- Danielle Allen (m. 37-50)
- May Omongo (m. 37-50)
- Both will sing together
- There will be an opportunity to have a speaking part for the concert! We will have a script ready the week after Thanksgiving to practice.
Concert Attire
- Singers should wear an all-black outfit for the concert performance. There is not a required uniform for students to purchase, but we recommend a combination of the following: black button-down shirt, black dress pants, black blouse, black dress (at least knee length or longer), and black closed-toe shoes.
- Black denim jeans are strongly discouraged.
Day of Concert Details – Sunday, December 7
- 1:00-3:00 PM – Full ensemble rehearsal will be from at Har-Ber High School Performing Arts Center (300 Jones Rd, Springdale, AR 72762).
- Please be on time – it is our only opportunity to rehearse with the entire ensemble together. A short break will follow, and we will line up the younger choirs first before the start of the concert.
- 3:45 PM – Younger choir line up backstage, older choir be in your designated seats in the hall
- 4:00 PM – Concert Begins
Last Rehearsal Before Winter Break
Monday Dec 8 – River Valley
Tuesday Dec 9 – Fayetteville
Thursday Dec 11 – Bentonville
- Everyone will have their combined holiday cookie and karaoke party on their location’s respective days. The combined party will be from 5:30-6:30 PM. Bring snacks and goodies to share with everyone!
- After this rehearsal, there will be no rehearsals until the week of January 12!
