ORFF SCHULWERK LEVEL 2 TEACHER CERTIFICATION COURSE
The Orff Schulwerk approach takes place in an engaging, cooperative, non-competitive environment, and focuses on the participation and development of all children while also encouraging the professional and personal growth of the teacher.
Level 2 training is for anyone who has completed Level 1 and wishes to acquire additional skills and experience in Orff Schulwerk. It introduces more advanced harmonic structures, and further develops rhythmic training (poems, dance, and games for use in the classroom), movement training (creative and folk dance), recorder, and improvisation. Upon completion of the course, teachers will have observed and experienced higher levels of pedagogical “process” (building upon Level 1) and will be prepared to implement musical activities that further engage and nurture the developmental stages of students.
Eligibility
This course is recommended for those who have completed Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk training. It is also appropriate for those wishing to renew or revisit their prior Orff training.
